Apple Hires Renowned Windows Vista Hacker to Bolster OS X Security

Kristin Paget is well known for her role as part of a group of experts hired to bolster security on Windows Vista – and now it appears she has caught Apple’s attention as well. Wired reports that Apple has now hired Paget as an operating system security researcher.

Unlike Microsoft, who rewarded Paged only with a signed t-shirt, Apple’s actually planning to pay her for her expertise. What a novel concept! And that’s why Apple has such a great track record for acquiring talent: They know how to find and value people for their skills!

It’s unclear exactly what role Paget will play in Apple’s security team – but given her record, OS X security is likely at the top of the list.
