First 27-Inch iMac Orders Now Arriving on Customer Doorsteps

We’ve heard from a number of readers that the first 27-inch iMac orders have begun arriving on customers’ doorsteps today, despite not being scheduled for delivery until tomorrow. 9to5Mac also reports that 27-inch iMac display units have begun arriving at Apple Stores, but are not yet being displayed.

We reported earlier this week that the first 27-inch iMac orders began shipping from Apple. It’s unclear when to expect units to be available at Apple Stores and 3rd-party retailers – but if Apple’s pickup estimates for 27-inch iMac orders at their online store are any indication, it might not be until January!

That’s great news for those that got their orders into Apple early – but it could mean that the rest of us will still have to wait a while to get our hands on one! Supplies are expected to be tight until well into 2013.
