Google Says Google Maps for iOS is Better Than the Android Version!

Google’s new Maps app for iOS has certaily caused a great deal of excitement, providing users with a solid alternative to Apple’s own iOS 6 mapping app. Google has really done a great job on the app – and according to Google, it’s actually even better than the Android version!

In David Pogue’s review of Google Maps for iOS, he share an interesting admission from Google:

The brand-new, completely rethought design is slick, simple and coherent. Google admits that it’s even better than Google Maps for Android phones, which has accommodated its evolving feature set mainly by piling on menus.

There are a couple of Android features that the iOS version lacks, however, such as offline mode and tablet support – and Pogue notes that an iPad version is in the works, and will arrive soon. Even so, it’s pretty interesting to get comments like this direct from the horse’s mouth!
