iOS Hacker Geohot To Release ‘Reactions’ – A New Dual-Camera Photography App for iOS

Remember Geohot, the first hacker who managed to jailbreak the iPhone? Well, he’s now back and stronger than ever with a new app pending release in the App Store called ‘Reactions‘ (via MacG). The idea is that as well as taking a photo, your reaction is also snapped, and then uploaded immediately without any chance to edit.

This may be quite controversial for some: you only have three seconds to cancel after you’ve taken the photo before it’s uploaded to Facebook or any other linked social network, so some quite embarrassing photos could end up on your wall if you haven’t got quick fingers.

The Reactions site contains some quotes that might lead us to believe it’s a windup though: ‘everyone’s favorite OS Windows 8’, cannot possibly be taken seriously. Having said that, it could be that the app is the real deal and that he’s just parodying the branding of other similar apps.

The app hasn’t yet made it on to the App Store, however it’s pending review so it should do in the near future. Last thing of note: the Reactions website links to Mega (the new file storage service launched by Kim Dotcom). Coincidence?
