Happy 6th Birthday, iPhone!

I think it’s fair to say that the 9th of January is one of those key dates in Apple’s history. We’ve already honored iTunes, released on that date in 2001, but there’s an even bigger milestone to celebrate. The iPhone was also announced on the date (it was released later), but in 2007. Happy birthday iPhone!

We’ve had five iterations of the iPhone since then, and it’s been quite some journey. Some the biggest features along the way have been the Retina display, the camera, and of course, the biggest selling point of all by a mile, iOS.

It’s worth pointing out that the iPhone’s release wasn’t until the summer, however the announcement is way more significant, and paved the way for all the modern smartphones we see today.
