LinkedIn Feels Generous, Hands Out Free iPad minis To All Employees

Damn, I’d like to be a LinkedIn employee right now! A company that’s doing great financially, but above all a company where the CEO has given every employee a free iPad mini, Business Insider reports.

So that’s 3,500 iPad minis given out free, but it doesn’t end there. LinkedIn didn’t get the 16GB model and call it a day, they splashed the cash on the 32GB model, for an estimated cost of $1.5 million at retail cost.

A communications manager in the UK tweeted the news, which was later confirmed by a spokesperson:

We wanted to acknowledge the hard work and accomplishments of all of our employees in 2012. During today’s biweekly All Hands meeting, we surprised our employees with iPad Minis as a small gesture of the company’s gratitude for their contributions.

I wonder how far this extended – did the cleaning ladies and lunch ladies get one?
