Apple.com Becomes 8th Most Popular Website In the U.S.

ComScore has just released their latest mobile web traffic rankings, and has just updated their data with sites accessed from a mobile device, which haven’t been figured into the equation in the past. Interestingly, after figuring in mobile access, the report finds that Apple is now among the top 10 most popular website in the U.S.! Notably, Apple’s ranking gained the benefit of 54% more unique visitors that previously weren’t accounted for.

Without the mobile traffic figured in, Apple only ranks as the 11th most popular site for 2012. That’s a pretty significant difference – and hardly surprising, given Apple’s massive mobile market share in the U.S. I don’t know whether this is great news, or whether we should all be concerned bu America’s unquenchable lust for gadgets…
