Apple Ranks No. 1 in JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey for 9th Time in a Row

Apple has a long tradition of leading the competition when it comes to customer service – and there’s no better example of that than the iPhone. JD Power and Associates has just released their semi-annual smartphone customer satisfaction survey, ranking Apple and the iPhone as number one for the 9th time in a row.

From the press release:

For the ninth consecutive study, Apple ranks highest among manufacturers of smartphones in customer satisfaction. Apple achieves a score of 855 and performs particularly well in physical design and ease of operation.

The rankings are determined by a number of ket factors, including performance, physical design, ease of operation, and features. Each smartphone manufacturer is given a ranking out of 1000 possible points, of which the iPhone was awarded a score of 855 – significantly above the study’s average ranking of 796 points. The study is based on a survey of 9,767 smartphone users, and took place between July and December of 2012.

Congrats Apple – one more trophy to add to what must be an extremely large showcase at this point…
