How The iPad Is Used In The Cockpit (Video)

It’s well known that more and more iPads are getting into cockpits to help the pilots navigate, but what specifically are they doing, and why is it so significant?

The video below, from Gadling’s Cockpit Chronicles (via Cult of Mac), gives us all the answers. It replaces every single manual but one, and even though their is a lengthy testing and approval process beforehand, once it has passed, things are a lot easier. American Airlines is currently the only airline with near full approval.
