Review: CaseCrown Lux – A Sleek, Smooth Snap-On Case for iPhone 5

Many people tend to put cases on their iPhone’s to protect it from dents, scratches, scrapes, water, and pretty much anything harmful. Some cases are thick, some are thin. As for me, I generally like to keep my iPhone as thin as possible while still adding some sort of protection again scratches. Enter the Lux Snap On Case by CaseCrown.

Overview

Let me start off by saying that this case is probably the best I have ever used. It’s a one piece case that offers a snap on installation, hence the name. The case is made of durable polycarbonate material that gives it an awesome matte finish look. The texture on the case is unlike any other I have ever had. I would describe it as soft. When the case is on your iPhone 5, it is about the same thickness as an iPhone 4/4S. So it still does keep it very thin, which is nice.

The Lux Snap On Case is also features a lay-on-the-table design with a beveled edge. If you lay it face down on a table, the actual screen will not touch the table. All ports are accessible, however some are easier than others. The lightning connector and power button are wide open, due to the cutouts. The mute and volume rockers have smaller cutouts around each button, making it a bit hard to access. You really have to put some effort into pressing those buttons.

The case comes in red, purple, blue, and black and retails for just $20 over at CaseCrown.com. Depending on the color you have, some fingerprints may be viewable on the back of the case. This isn’t a huge deal, because virtually any case will get dirty over time. After all, that’s what they’re for!

Verdict [rating:4.5]
