Apple Makes Age Ratings More Prominent in iOS App Store Descriptions

After several recent controversies regarding inappropriate content on the App Store, Apple has taken action by adding age tags to the concerned apps (via AppleInsider). Users can now clearly see the minimum age – previously it wasn’t that well displayed and was easy to miss.

This should hopefully clear up a lot of the issues Apple has faced in the past. Video sharing app Vine featured pornographic content as the ‘Editor’s Pick’, while nude images were also found on photo sharing app 500px. Both now have 17+ ratings.
