Apple Stores: The Phenomenon in Figures (Infographic)

Apple’s retail program is truly something to marvel at, in terms of its mind-blowing pace of growth, and its unprecedented success in the retail market. It has sparked clones from rivals such as Microsoft and Samsung, has inspired retailers such as Lowes to use iPhones on their sales floors, and has changed the retail industry forever.

Our friends at MacFormat have put together a fantastic infographic charting the success of the Apple Store program. Here are a few of the highlights:

  • Apple Retail Stores have a 2% job application acceptance rate, as opposed to 7% for studying at Harvard
  • The average revenue per employee at an Apple Store is a whopping $470K
  • More people visit Apple Stores than attend Major League Baseball games

MacFormat is also currently celebrating their 20th anniversary, and are offering a free download of their very first issue from 1993 if you download their Newsstand app. I’m quoted in the 20th anniversary issue as well – so keep an eye our for a mention of MacTrast and how we feel about Apple’s progress over the last two decades!
