Apple Releases iOS 6.1.4 for iPhone 5, With Updated Speakerphone Audio Profile

Apple has just released a surprise minor update to iOS for the iPhone 5. The iOS 6.1.4 update is available now for both GSM and CDMA iPhone 5 models, and bears a build number of 10B350. The update only lists one known change, namely a new speakerphone audio profile, although there are likely other minor bug fixes and updates included also.

The update was released without any beta testing period of any sort for developers, and weighs in at just 11.5MB. It is available now as an Over-The-Air update (Settings>General>Software Update), as well as for direct download from Apple (links: CDMAGSM). It’s unclear why the update has only been released for the iPhone 5, or if they will roll it out to other devices in the near future. The update follows the release of iOS 6.1.3 in March.
