Another Hidden Tethering App Sneaks Onto the App Store

It’s happened numerous times in the past – an app with an unauthorized feature manages to slip by Apple’s generally strict approval team. This time around, it’s a coloring app that masks a hidden feature allowing users to tether their iPhone to their computer, enabling those with unlimited data plans, or others who normally wouldn’t be able to make use of the feature, to share their iPhone’s internet connection with their Mac or PC.

As first noted by AppAdvice, the app is called Little Artist Canvas, and is available for $0.99. The process for using the hidden tethering feature is described above – although it is anything but simply to enable the unauthorized extra. If you feel like grabbing this, you’d better snatch it from the App Store before Apple realizes their mistake!
