How to Reset or Disable AutoFill in iOS

While the iOS AutoFill feature is useful for many purposes – such as automatically entering your logins or filling our forms – over time the AutoFill database can become inaccurate, causing frustration when browsing the web on your iOS device. If your iOS device is shared with other people, there are also privacy considerations to think about.

Fortunately, Apple provides a simple way to reset the AutoFill database so you can start fresh, or even disable AutoFill if you’re worried about security. To adjust AutoFill preferences, launch Settings on your iOS device, and open the Safari pane. Next, navigate to the AutoFill section. From here, you can clear your AutoFill database by tapping Clear All under Names and Passwords.

To take things one step further and disable AutoFill entirely, simply switch the Use Contact Info and Names and Passwords toggle switches to the Off position, and iOS will no longer prompt you to save information or logins, and will stop auto-filling logins and forms.

That’s all there is to it! Enjoy!
