Rumored Next-Gen iPhone Part Reveals Possible Tweaked Camera Design

A photo of a component claimed to be part of the motherboard from an as yet to be released iPhone shows that Apple may be employing some internal design changes where the camera lens and flash are concerned.

AppleInsider:

The parts were highlighted by French Apple site Nowhereelse on Thursday, and bear a strong resemblance to the corner of the iPhone 5 motherboard. But there are some key differences between the existing phone’s component and the newly pictured part claimed to be from an unreleased iPhone model.

The tweaked design is found in the part of the motherboard that has in the past powered the camera and flash in previous models. While ribbons holding the part were two separate pieces in the iPhone 5, the new component is in a single piece.

It’s unknown if the part could be destined for the “iPhone 5S”, or the much rumored low-cost iPhone, both which are expected to be introduced later this year.

The pictured component was obtained by Japanese retailer Moumantai, which has also been the source of previous leaks of alleged next-gen iPhone components.
