Apple Once Again Outpaces Android and Surpasses Samsung as Top US Smartphone Manufacturer

According to the latest report from comScore, Apple has once again leaped over Samsung as the top smartphone manufacturer in the U.S. While Apple’s share grew 1.4% over the past three months (now at 39.2% total market share), Samsung’s share grew only 0.6% – while others, such as HTC and Motorola actually dropped in share.

Despite Apple’s gains, Android still takes the cake when it comes to platform market share, with 52%, as compared to Apple’s 39.2% – but considering that Apple is only working with a grand total of 3 available smart phones, compared to dozens of Android phones, that’s pretty damn impressive!

There’s no doubt about it – Apple’s still killing it when it comes to marketshare, gaining faster than their biggest rival despite not having released new hardware in nearly a year. In fact, Apple is the only manufacturer that has consistently increased their share while other manufacturers remained stagnant or even lost share.

Clearly the iPhone is a failure, Android is winning, and Apple is doomed, right? RIGHT?!
