Apple Seeds First OS X 10.8.5 Beta to Developers, Retail, and AppleSeed Members

Shortly after releasing OS X 10.8.4 to the public, Apple has now begun seeding the first beta of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 to developers. They’ve also begun seeding the beta to members of their AppleSeed testing program, and according to 9to5Mac, they’ve also provided the beta to their retail team for “extended testing in a more controlled environment.”

Apple is asking developers to focus their testing on Wi-Fi, Graphics, Wake from Sleep, and PDF viewing and Accessibility. The update weighs in at 191.22MB for the traditional update, and 847.51MB for the combo update, and is available through the software update tool in the Mac App Store for those who tested previous Mountain Lion betas, as well as for direct download from Apple’s Mac Developer Center.
