iPad mini Goes on Sale in Brazil Tuesday

Eight months after the U.S. debut of the iPad mini, Brazilian fans will finally be able to get their hands on the smaller version of Apple’s popular device.

AppleInsider:

The iPad mini will go on sale in Brazil on Tuesday, June 25. Macworld Brasil posted the news on Friday, saying the tablet will show up at retailers like FNAC, Fast Shop, and Saraiva.

Brazilian pricing for the device has yet to be revealed.

Brazil is one of the world’s largest developing countries, and as such, is an important market to Apple. The company manufactures some of its iPhone models in plants owned by longtime assembly partner Foxconn.

Brazils economy is still developing, and Apple has had to adapt its pricing strategy there to make its devices more affordable. Apple slashed the prices of its iPhone 4 and 4S models by up to 25% earlier this year.
