iWork for iCloud Beta Now Available for Registered Apple Developers

Apple has made the iWork for iCloud versions of Pages, Keynote and Numbers available to registered developers as a beta release. The new, browser-based version of Apple’s popular office suite was announced on Monday at the company’s Worldwide Developer Conference.

The iWork browser productivity suite is seen as a competitor to other browser-based office suites, such as Google’s Docs and Micrsoft’s Office 365. While the suite works best in Safari, it is compatible on a Mac or PC, and can be accessed in Safari, Google Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files can be loaded directly into their iWork counterparts.

The new office suite is expected to see public release later this year, but for now, all registered Apple developers can login with their developer logins at beta.icloud.com.
