Apple Releases First Software Update for 2013 MacBook Airs, Fixes WiFi and Photoshop Issues

Apple released the first software update for their new 2013 MacBook Airs late last week, fixing issues with unreliable WiFi connections, as well as an issue that caused severe screen flickering for some users when using Adobe Photoshop.

From Apple’s support site:

This update is recommended for MacBook Air (mid 2013) models.

This update fixes an issue that in rare instances may cause an intermittent loss in wireless connectivity, an issue with Adobe Photoshop which may cause occasional screen flickering, and an issue which may cause audio volume to fluctuate during video playback.

MacBook Air (Mid 2013) Software Update 1.0 is available now via Software Update on eligible Macs, as well as for direct download from Apple’s support site. The update weighs in at a mere 3.35MB.
