Apple Seeds OS X Mavericks Developer Preview 3 to Developers

Alongside the release of the third iOS 7 developer beta earlier today, Apple has also released their third developer preview of OS X Mavericks. As with the previous developer preview, the third developer build comes exactly two weeks following its predecessor, and continues to address various bugs and add performance enhancements ahead of the public release of OS X Mavericks.

The update is available through the Mac App Store on machines that already have the first or second preview installed, and is also available from Apple’s Mac Developer Center. The update weighs in at 1.08GB.

OS X Mavericks is staled for public release later this fall.

    If it’s a free update (similar to Windows 8.1 and iOS) then I’ll PROBABLY ‘feed’ my MacBook, if it’s $9.99 MAYBE I’ll update my device, if it’s $19.99 then I’ll DEFINITELY skip it (not because it’s a lot of money but when you do the math the Snow Leopard to Mavericks jump will already cost $70 combining those yearly releases and it’s not worth it every twelve months.
