High Quality Video and Photos Purport to Reveal Apple’s Plastic ‘Budget’ iPhone

Another week, another source claiming to have access to parts from the much-rumored budget iPhone from Apple. This time it’s Techdy reporting that it has gotten it’s paws on what it believes in its heart-of-hearts to be legitimate front and rear parts for the lower-cost handset from Apple.

Techdy, via MacRumors:

The budget iPhone will be made substantially from plastic (we can feel it’s actually polycarbonate material). It will have a 4” screen, like the iPhone 5, and interestingly, the budget iPhone actually has a shape that’s similar to Apple’s original iPod. When we hold the budget iPhone in our hands, the plastic chassis does not feel cheap at all. Unlike the plastic build quality of the Samsung Galaxy phones, the plastic material used on the budget iPhone feels more sturdy.

Techdy says a black front panel will be used with all color variations of the rear shell, which will reportedly include blue, pink, yellow, green, and white.

Techdy‘s gallery contains over 40 photos showing numerous views of the device, with side-by-side comparisons with an iPhone 5 and even closeup views of the individual rear shell and other parts.

While no one will really know for sure if these are video and photos of the real thing most likely until this fall, we present the video and photos for your enjoyment.
