With Apple’s deep partnership with Disney, it is about time that Disney has been fully integrated into the Apple TV. Apple TV users will now also be able to access Weather information via a new app from The Weather Channel. An app for the Smithsonian is also now present.

Apple has steadily been adding content to its square hockey puck, as Apple TV was updated with apps for channels that included WatchESPN, HBO Go, and SkyNews. Time Warner Cable is also reportedly working on an app to be added later this year.

The new “channels” join established apps on the Apple TV, which include Hulu Plus, Netflix, Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, the National Hockey League, Vimeo, youTube, and Flickr.
