Gmail App Mailbox for iOS Updated – Cloud Search, Account Specific Signatures

Popular iOS Gmail App Mailbox got an update on Wednesday, and users will find that they can now search through messages that are stored in Gmail’s cloud, and those users with multiple Gmail accounts will find that they can now create and choose specific signatures for each account.

AppleInsider:

The new capability allows users to search through every message in a given Gmail account, not just those that had been previously downloaded and stored locally. With the upgrade, Mailbox is finally up to speed with other email clients offering similar features, including Google’s own Gmail app.

The new version, 1.50, allows users to create and choose signatures for each of the Gmail accounts they access via the app. Another new feature is the ability to choose to open web links in Google’s Chrome browser instead of the iOS built-in browser, Safari.

Users can still grab 1GB of storage space on Dropbox by linking their account with the cloud storage service. Dropbox integration was added to the app following the company’s purchase of Mailbox back in March.

Version 1.5 also includes the ever popular enhancements and bug fixes.

The updated version of Mailbox is available FREE for both the iPhone and iPad in the App Store. [DIRECT LINK]
