As is traditional, Apple’s Online Store is down ahead of today’s iPad event. The traditional, “We’ll be back. We’re busy updating the Apple Store for you and will be back soon” greets visitors to the online store.
Apple’s iPad event will kick-off today at 1PM Eastern/10AM Pacific, and will live stream on both Apple TV and the web.

(UPDATE – 10/22/13) – iWork for iCloud is also down ahead of the event. A notice tells users that “in just a few short hours,” they’ll be able to “enjoy great new features.”
