Netflix Update Adds HD and AirPlay for iOS 7

Netflix has released version 5 of their popular streaming video app for the iPhone and iPad. The new release adds HD and AirPlay for iOS 7 users.

This release adds “Netflix HD,” a higher quality video stream. The update also supports AirPlay for use with AirPlay capable devices, such as the Apple TV. Note, for AirPlay streaming to work, you will need to turn OFF AirPlay Mirroring on your device.

Netflix offers thousands of movies and televisions shows, including their own originally produced content such as the Emmy award winning “House of Cards.” (Ed. – If you haven’t watched this Netflix series, you are really missing out on a gem.)

What’s New in Version 5.0

* Netflix HD for iOS 7
* AirPlay streaming for iOS 7 (requires disabling AirPlay mirroring)
* Playback optimizations
* Stability improvements

Netflix is available FREE for the iPhone and iPad in the App Store. [DIRECT LINK]
