Some Users Reporting Wi-Fi Woes With New Retina MacBook Pros

While the new 13-inch and 15-inch Retina Display MacBook Pro models are receiving mostly glowing reviews, some users are reporting Wi-Fi related issues with their newly acquired laptops.

TUAW:

Yet there seems to be a growing number of issues related to sleep and Wi-Fi connectivity with the flagship laptops. Besides Apple’s support forum threads which detail the issues and some readers contacting us reporting the same thing, I can also confirm my new MacBook Pro seems quite buggy when waking from sleep in the morning.

Users report that after waking their MacBook from sleep, the Wi-Fi indicator will show a connection, but the computer is unable to access the Internet. The solution is to simply toggle the Wi-Fi off and then back on. An easy fix, but one that can be annoying if required numerous times during the course of a work day.

Issues such as this have been remedied in the past via firmware updates, and we’re sure Apple will issue such a fix if this problem does indeed turn out to be widespread.
