First Mac Pro Orders Begin Shipping to Customers, Arriving by December 30

For those lucky enough to have placed one of the earliest orders for Apple’s sleek, tiny new Mac Pro, there’s good news. According to reports from across the web and Twitter (via MacRumors, 9to5Mac, and a host of reader reports), early Mac Pro orders have now begun shipping. Customers’ cards have now been charged for early orders, and the first Mac Pros are set to arrive by December 30th (with some users claiming ship dates as early as December 27).

It’s worth noting that users who placed customized orders for the new Mac Pro should not expect to receive their orders by the end of the year – from what we’ve been able to gather, only customers who placed orders for stock Mac Pros will be receiving their orders on or before the 30th.

The Mac Pro currently lists estimated ship dates extending into February, as demand has significantly exceeded Apple’s supply for early orders. As for the rest of us: We’ll all have to be patient and wait until the new year!
