Apple has just released Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.2, adding RAW image support to iPhoto and Aperture for a variety of new cameras – including, perhaps most notably, Sony’s new full-frame mirrorless Alpha 7 and Alpha 7R prosumer-level cameras.

This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11:
- Nikon D5300
- Nikon Df
- Olympus OM-D E-M1
- Sony Alpha 7
- Sony Alpha 7R
The update weighs in at just 6.8 MB, requires OS X 10.6.8 or OS X 10.7 or later, and is available immediately through Software Update.
