Apple’s New Mac Pro Goes on Sale in Europe Following Ban of Previous Model

Apple’s New Mac Pro Goes on Sale in Europe Following Ban of Previous Model

Deliveries of Apple’s all-new Mac Pro have begun in Europe, the first time in almost a year that customers have been able to get their hands on the company’s top of the line pro setup.

MacRumors:

Sales of the previous-generation Mac Pro in Europe were halted as of March 1, 2013 due to new regulatory requirements regarding I/O port power and fan guard placement. Rather than update the aging machine to comply with the new regulation, Apple elected to withdraw the Mac Pro from sale at that time.

While Apple began taking orders back in December, and did indeed deliver some orders before Christmas, it has taken several more weeks to begin deliveries in Europe. Delivery dates for countries where the new powerhouse is available show a shipping date of February.
