BlackBerry’s Market Share Almost Non-Existent in U.S.

BlackBerry’s U.S. marketshare continues to plummet, as the latest data from Kantar Worldpanel shows the company’s share in the United States is almost non-existent.

BGR:

In the United States, Kantar found that BlackBerry’s market share has fallen from 0.9% to 0.4% over the past year. In the five biggest European markets — the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain — BlackBerry’s market share fell from 3.7% to 1.5% over the past year.

Worse news for the failing firm comes in the form of reports from the Latin American markets of Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. BlackBerry’s marketshare there plunged precipitously, from 10.3% in the fourth quarter of 2012 to just 2.8% in Q4 2013. Horrible news for the device maker, as sales in emerging markets have been the one bright spot for BlackBerry in the past few years.
