Delta’s ’80s Themed Safety Video is Like TOTALLY Tubular To The Max!

Delta is once again making an attempt to get its passengers to actually pay attention to its in-flight safety video, by attempting to tickle their retro funny bone with an ’80s themed vid.

The Verge:

Delta jazzed things up in this video with huge hair, scrunchies, break-dancing, and cleverly-placed references to things like Atari, Alf, and the Rubik’s Cube to deliver the boring yet necessary safety information we all hear on every flight.

Delta had a holiday video that went viral last year, and we’re sure the airline is hoping for a similar return on investment this go round.

We are a little disappointed there wasn’t a rainbow Apple logo to be found anywhere, but the airline did include a cameo from Kareem Abdul Jab… Um, co-pilot Roger Murdock of “Airplane” fame, so we’re willing to cut them a little slack.
