Smartwatch Maker Pebble Plans “Something Special” at CES on Monday

Smartwatch maker Pebble has announced via their blog that they’ll be announcing “something special” at CES 2014 on Monday. The popular smartwatch company is a pioneer in the smartwatch industry, resulting from a Kickstarter project that resulted in the funding of its $100,000 goal in only two hours, ending up with over $10 million in funding by the campaign’s end.

From the Pebble Blog:

Join us Monday, 6 January at 11 AM Pacific (2 PM Eastern) for an announcement by CEO Eric Migicovsky, streaming on getpebble.com. Pebblers who were part of our CES announcement last year can tell you: you won’t want to miss the news (Eric will be color-correct this year, promise)!

While the subject of the announcement hasn’t been confirmed, speculation centers around a new model of the Pebble smartwatch. It has been over a year since the release of the original Pebble, so we may be due to see a new model.

We’ll be watching the announcement closely, and will let you know what Pebble has up their sleeve as soon as they announce it.

The Pebble live stream can be seen at the Pebble website beginning Monday, January 6, at 11AM Pacific, 2PM Eastern.
