Apple is offering the official Tetris game from Electronic Arts for free via its Apple Store iOS app. Apple periodically offers free apps, books, music, and other content to promote usage of its Apple Store app.
Promoted as “A throwback for you. On us.”, Tetris is regularly priced at $0.99 in the iOS App Store. In order to receive the app for free, users will need to redeem a free code via the Apple Store App.
Just load the Apple Store app, (available here, or in the App Store on your iOS device), and then look on the first screen of the app. There, you’ll see a menu selection entitled, “A throwback. On us.” You also see the Tetris app icon. Tap that menu item and follow the instructions. If you download the game directly from the App Store, without going via the Apple Store app, the game will run you $0.99.
