Report: Apple to Open Retail Store in Dayton, Ohio

Apple is reportedly readying a new retail store in Dayton, Ohio, set to open by the end of the year. The Dayton Business Journal and ifoAppleStore report the store will occupy space formerly occupied by ladies clothing retailer Lane Bryant in The Greene shopping center.

MacRumors:

… a black construction barricade was recently spotted at the location. Apple also posted 12 job listings for the area ranging from Store Leader to Specialist on Tuesday.

Crews inside the construction site on Wednesday said they had not been told what store would be occupying the space.

A Dayton store would be Apple’s seventh retail location in the state of Ohio. Locations in the state currently include: Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, Westlake, and Woodmere.

In Apple’s annual 10-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Apple noted that it plans to open 30 new retail stores in 2014, approximately two-thirds of those will be outside the U.S.
