Apple Rolls Out Two-Step Apple ID Verification Process to Several New Countries

Apple has expanded its two-step Apple ID verification process to more countries this week, including Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Spain.

9to5Mac:

Back in May of last year, a long list of readers in countries around the world reported having access to Apple’s two-step verification security feature for their Apple ID. Shortly after the news broke, the feature disappeared in many countries signaling it had been launched prematurely.

Until now, the only officially supported countries have included the U.S., UK, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand.

Apple also updated its support pages concerning two-step verification, they can be seen here and here, and list the new countries.

Apple rolled out the two-step Apple ID verification and access process last March, just as a major security hole in their account management was discovered.
