Apple Updates HealthKit Privacy Policy

Apple has updated their HealthKit privacy policy for developers in order to keep user data from falling into the hands of advertisers and data brokers.

TNW:

The Financial Times reports that the company’s updated policy will stop third-party apps from using personal data collected while using the HealthKit platform for anything other than informing users of their health.

HealthKit, a part of the upcoming iOS 8 launch, acts as a central hub that collects data from third-party apps and accessories, that info is then processed and presented in the iOS 8 Health app, via easy to follow graphs and charts.
