Apple’s iTunes Festival Channel Returns to Apple TV Lineup

The iTunes Festival channel has made a triumphant return to the Apple TV channel lineup, just ahead of September’s 2014 iTunes Festival in London.

9to5Mac notes the channel is currently offering information covering the talent lineup, the famous Roundhouse venue, and a history of the festival.

Earlier today, Apple announced additions to the festival lineup, adding such artists a Mary J. Blige, and Tony Bennett, and more to the bill.

Apple’s iTunes Festival is now in its 8th year, launching in 2007. So far, over 430 artists have performed at the events, with live audiences of over 400,000 present at the venues, while millions more watched online.

The Festival dates were announced last month, with Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams, Beck, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, and more announced as the initial acts. 21 more acts, including Lenny Kravitz, The Script, Foxes, and more, wereadded earlier this month.Free tickets for the concerts in London will be available through iTunes in a lottery system as well as via local radio stations. The festival will also be broadcast via Apple TV, an iOS app, and iTunes.
