New Video Demos Apple’s New Lightning Cable With Reversible USB Connector

Last week, rumors floated around about a new Lightning cable with a reversible USB connector. Now, noted iOS part leaker Sonny Dickson has posted a new video of the much-rumored new cable in action. The video shows the new cable as plugged in, removed, reversed, and plugged in again.

MacRumors:

Apple could start shipping a new Lightning cable alongside the next wave of iOS device releases this fall, which will likely start with the iPhone 6 next month. It is unknown if the updated cable will contain any new features aside from a reversible USB connector, although past rumors have pointed to support for high-definition audio playback.

An Apple patent covering a reversible USB connector was published last month, however, Apple could face challenges from California company UltraTek, as it already holds a patent for a reversible connector.
