AppleCare+ Soon to Expand to Australia

Apple’s AppleCare+ is set to debut in Australia in the near future. The extended warranty plan for iPads, iPhones, and iPods could launch just ahead of the debut of the iPhone 6 in the land down under.

MacRumors reports that a tipster tells them that Apple Store employees in Australia are currently receiving training on the service.

AppleCare+ launched in the United States in the U.S. in 2011, and offers two years of extended warranty and support, along with coverage for accidental damage for $99. (Up to 2 incidents – With a $79 service fee.)

iPad coverage rolled out in 2012, and AppleCare+ coverage has rolled out to a number of countries in the meantime, including Canada, China, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, and several countries across Europe.

Australian pricing for AppleCare+ has not yet been announced, but it will likely be similar to pricing in the United States.
