Apple’s Homepage Redirecting to Event Countdown Page

There’s less than 24 hours to go until Apple’s big media event set for tomorrow at 1PM Eastern, 10AM Pacific time, and Apple is redirecting traffic from its home page at Apple.com to the event countdown page. The move will undoubtably help promote tomorrow’s event to the 7 Apple users who are still unaware of the big event.

Apple’s big shindig on Tuesday is expected to be one of the biggest events in years, as the iPhone maker will be holding it at the Flint Center at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA, the scene of some major Apple announcements over the years, not the least of which was the introduction of the original Macintosh computer back in 1984.

Apple will live stream the event on its website, and to the Apple TV as it has done for previous events. Apple is expected to unveil their next-generation iPhone, and will also likely debut their much-rumored wearable device, and a mobile payments initiative.

MacTrast will cover the event, and will tweet the goings on live for those of you who can’t watch the event, followed up by full coverage of the big announcements immediately following.
