This Video Shows How The iPhone 4S Performs Running iOS 8.0.2

Popular wisdom has deemed you might want to think twice before installing iOS 8 on your iPhone 4S. Many, MacTrast included, were concerned that the experience would be less than satisfying. However, the video below shows that if you’re happy with the performance of your 4S running iOS 7.1.2, you just might be happy with iOS 8.0.2 on your device.

The video, (via 9to5Mac), shows two iPhone 4S units running side-by-side, one on iOS 7.1.2, and the other on iOS 8.0.2. As you see when viewing the video, the performance differences are minimal.

As always, your mileage may vary, so it’s up to you.

Not sure. We ran it through Shazam via Siri and on our Mac, but it didn’t seem to recognize it. Anyone know what this piece is?

Am I blind, or performance for both is all the same?

The iPhone 4S running iOS 8 usually comes in just behind the iOS 7 unit, but only by a fraction of a second. Probably wouldn’t be noticeable in daily use.
