Apple Co-Founder Ronald Wayne Puts Apple I Manual Proofs, More Up For Auction

Ronald Wayne, the third Apple co-founder who sold his 10% share of the company for a mere $800 shortly after the partnership was filed, is looking to regain at least a small part of the riches he signed away.

Techcrunch:

Obviously, he missed the boat, but now Wayne is putting a collection of early Apple documents up for auction (via The Loop), and the estimated auction value of $30,000 to $50,000 would at least increase his existing return tenfold.

The documents up for auction include proof sheets for the original Apple I manual, as well as a set of drawings and blueprints for the Apple II’s computer case. (The drawings are quite different from the final shipping version of the case.) Also included is an original order form for the Apple II.

This isn’t the first time documents from Wayne’s collection have been put up for auction. Back in 2011 a collection that included Wayne’s copy of the original Apple founding contract went up for sale.
