MacRumors:

“We all want to get the most from our smartphones, and that’s exactly what Reach79 cases were designed to do,” said David Vigil, CEO, Antenna79. “Powered by patented antenna technology, Reach79 cases are the first performance-enhancing smartphone cases designed for speed. Each case is embedded with a micro-thin, gold-plated antenna that works to increase your smartphone’s signal strength so your phone can do more for you.”

Reach79 claims the stronger signal provided by its cases can also improve battery life because the phone doesn’t have to work so hard to find a signal. The company says this improves the user experience, resulting in less dropped calls, faster downloads, and better signal coverage.

The cases, which also provide military grade drop protection, contain antenna technology that is said to pair with the iPhone’s antenna, increasing signal strength for the device. While the company says their claims have been verified by CETECOM, a CTIA accredited facility, they do warn that the user experience will depend on the device, carrier, and location.

Reach79 cases are available at the Reach79 website. The iPhone 6 model is available at $59.99, while the iPhone 6 Plus case goes for $69.99. Currently only black is available, however, the company says additional colors will be available in Q1 of 2015.
