Apple Watch Shops Grand Openings Set for April 10 in London, Paris and Tokyo

Apple has officially announced the April 10 grand openings for three dedicated Apple Watch shops in high-end retailers in London, Paris, and Tokyo.

MacRumors:

As previously outlined, the store-within-a-store locations are at Selfridges in London, Galeries Lafayette in Paris, and Isetan in Tokyo.

The new locations, dubbed simply “Apple Watch,” will handle Watch viewing demonstrations, and sales. Customers are expected to be directed to Apple retail stores for any needed Watch support.

Potential buyers can make reservations for a 15-minute demo of Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch models at an Apple Store, while those buyers interested in the $10,000 and up Apple Watch Edition will get a luxurious 30 minutes to try out the device. At the moment it isn’t clear if a similar system will be used at the dedicated shops

The Apple Watch Shops are set to open on Friday, April 10. Apple will also roll out Apple Watch previews and pre-orders that same day at its regular Apple retail locations. The device will actually be available for sale on April 24, in the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, and Japan.

(UPDATE) – MacTrast reader Stuart Scott was kind enough to send us some photos of the Selfridges London Apple Watch signage, from both the inside, and outside of the store. Stuart sys it all happened basically overnight! Thanks Stuart!
