MacRumors:

Apple Watch orders that have changed to “Preparing for Shipment” are still listing prospective delivery dates of 4/24 to 5/8, but the first orders are expected to begin arriving on Friday April 24, the official launch date of the Apple Watch. Now that order statuses have shifted, customers should begin receiving shipment emails in the near future.

Bulk shipments of the Apple Watch have already begun arriving at United States central distribution points. Watch orders will ship from these central distribution centers via FedEx and UPS, so many of the devices should begin arriving this Friday.

MacTrast readers began announcing their Watch’s change in status on Twitter Monday evening:

UPS and FedEx have several major shipping hubs in the United States, Including Memphis, Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; Indianapolis, Indiana; Newark, New Jersey; and Oakland, California.

Once an order status has changed to Preparing for Shipment, anxious customers may be able to track their Apple Watch shipment by reference number using a phone number available on the UPS and FedEx websites.
