Microsoft today updated the iOS version of Powerpoint to add the ability to use your Apple Watch to remotely control presentations. Users can start a presentation, navigate between slides, and track the elapsed time of a presentation, all from their Apple Watch.
What’s New in Version 1.8
PowerPoint Remote for Apple Watch: control your slide show on iPhone with a beautifully simple app.
• Start your slide show and easily navigate to the next and previous slides.
• At a glance, see the elapsed time, the current slide number and total number of slides.
Bug fixes and performance improvements.
9to5Mac notes the Watch app currently only controls the iOS version of PowerPoint, not the OS X version.
While PowerPoint is available free in the App Store, you will need an Office 365 subscription to access the full functionality of the app. If you need to buy a subscription, you can buy Office 365 Home or Office 365 Personal via an in-app purchase.
Office 365 subscriptions give access to all features in Word, Excel and PowerPoint on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and you can also install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote on PCs or Macs.
PowerPoint is available FREE for the iPhone and iPad, in the App Store. [DIRECT LINK]
