Angela Ahrendts Promises Details on ‘Back to School’ Promo This Week

While recent years would have seen Apple running their annual “Back to School” promotion in early July, the company has yet to announce the promotion. The company normally offers customers a free Apple Store or iTunes gift card with the purchase of a computer or iOS device.

MacRumors:

With the usual timeframe having come and gone and no signs of an imminent launch for the promotion, many have speculated Apple has decided to end the long-running program.

However, Consomac.fr [Google Translation], reports Apple’ head of retail, Angela Ahrents, told Apple retail employees in a video message last week that she will “share a little bit more insight” on the Back to School situation with them in this week’s video.

“I’m sure many of you are thinking also ‘but is there anything else for Back to School’? Well, I need you to wait until next week’s video and I’ll share a little bit more insight with you then.”

While Ahrendts did not come right out and say there will be a Back to School promotion this year, the report says her “enthusiastic tone” indicates the company is cooking something up. We’ll keep you posted.
