A number of Apple’s online services were hit by slowdown and outages on Wednesday, with some users reporting slow performance, while other reported the services were completely inaccessible.
Apple official system status page indicates issues with Photos, Mail Drop, iCloud Drive, iCloud Backup, and Documents in the Cloud. Other services experiencing problems as the iWork for iCloud beta, and iMessage, Apple’s messaging system for iOS and OS X devices.
The issues began at approximately 11:30AM Eastern time, and are still ongoing.
Customers of Apple’s online services have been hit a number of times recently with outages or slowdown. An incident in May of this year took over seven hours to resolve.
March saw the iTunes and App Stores both brought down for over seven hours by a DNS issue. Apple issued a rare public apology following that incident.
